director’s note

The Korean title of “Best Korean Girl” is “Om Tchin A”, a short term for mother’s friend’s son in Korean, an expression that has already become part of Korean popular culture and a traditional element that persists and, while it is sometimes parodied by the young generation, is still in use as a path that is destined to end up in marriage. Thanks to the power of the insistency of indestructible Korean mothers.
